EB-3 skilled or professional workers

Who is eligible for an EB-3?

  • Skilled workers
  • Professionals
  • Other workers
What is a skilled worker?

Skilled workers are those positions that require a minimum of two years of training or experience. Relevant education, including an associate's degree, may count as training.

Who is a professional?

Professionals must have a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent. Additionally, the petitioner must demonstrate that such a degree is the normal requirement for entry into the occupation.

Who is an "other worker?"

Other workers include any position that requires less than two years of higher education, training, or experience. This subcategory is among the easiest to qualify for. However, the current backlog for this subcategory is approximately ten years. As such, aliens in this category should seek another option.
